Chalkboard Paint
Chalkboard paint is a flat black paint, that can be used on just about any surface, that will dry to be a completely usable chalkboard. I bought a can a while back and I am excited to finally be getting around to it. I am making my own heart-shaped chalkboard in our bedroom so that I can write myself lots of lists and notes so I remember everything that I would otherwise forget… 
So far this is just the first coat; it’s a little sloppy and I will need to do another one in several hours. I am very excited, though. I made a few “boo-boo”‘s on the wall, but I still have my paint from when I painted my walls originally, so that will be easily fixed. After the last coat of paint I have to wait 24 hours before I can write on it, so that will stink (I am very impatient) but I think this is an awesome idea and it’s fun for anyone to have… and it’s worth trying at least once. (and I promise to confirm that when it’s all done!)

Yes, chalkboards are indeed awesome. I ended up widening this one, and still use it often and love it. I also have an additional dry-erase board and bulletin board. I am a list junkie.
